EMDR is an 8 phase psychotherapeutic method that can effectively relieve stuck and overwhelming experiences by transforming how traumatic memories are stored in the brain and body. EMDR allows incomplete or “stuck” experiences to be safely processed and integrated by reducing the disturbance of traumatic memories so that people can envision and embody a more positive future.
